Dana

Support & dana for the sangha

In the Theravāda tradition, monastics depend on daily requisites offered by lay supporters — food, shelter, medicine, and the modest means to study and teach. This mutual relationship is called dana: generosity undertaken freely, without bargaining or expectation of return.

The Buddha often praised giving to those who live purely and who make the Dhamma their life. Offerings here help cover food, utilities, construction, and care of the grounds so the bhikkhu sangha can continue practice and guidance in a stable setting.

No one is asked to give beyond their means. Many friends contribute a little; others, when they are able, offer more. What matters is clarity of heart and steadiness, not display.

Card offerings for the monastery are processed securely through Stripe on our Donate page (Indian rupee by default, with other currencies available). That is the only online payment flow on this site; we do not duplicate checkout here.
